Hilynn House was a project that turned out so much better than we could have hoped! Purchased as a foreclosure, we had an interesting split-level floor plan to work with. The upper level was transformed into a comfortable family room with amazing views of our beautiful Skagit Valley farmlands. The kitchen layout was transformed by adding an additional bank of upper and lower cabinets where there was dead space and an unnecessary doorway before. We removed the airtight wood stove and had a new, efficient gas stove installed in the living room, which helped create a more stream-lined footprint in the room to help provide more usable space. A master bathroom was added, and other bathrooms were updated. Finally, we added a carport to the north side of the home, with lines that matched the home’s contemporary style. As with all our flips, we fell in love a little bit with this one!
